TIMBERJACK CENTRAL

Hee Haw & Welcome to Timberjack Central!  We know many of you have been playing Pong around the clock on your Magnavox Odyssey consoles but the mighty Timberjack urges you to take a break...many breaks...more than 20 minutes.  You can:
  • Take a walk outside with your family,
  • Work on a merit badge,
  • Try a videoconference with a friend or relative, or
  • Do a good turn for a neighbor (while keeping safety measures in mind).
Below, you will find a number of Scouting resources.  The leaders of Troop 279, adults and Scouts alike,  are working hard to create some fun activities and run our weekly virtual troop meetings.  Please email timberjacks279@gmail.com with any suggestions or questions.

Scouting units should use ScoutBook to record and track advancement.   To track advancement remotely, parents should:
  • Connect with their child’s member profile via an invitation that the unit leader sends within ScoutBook.
  • Once a connection is made, the parent should use the Scouting app, found in both the App Store and Google Play, to stay connected with their unit.
  • The Scouting app provides parents the ability to report any advancement that was completed at home

I WOULD LIKE TO START A MERIT BADGE

You must email Mr. Moffre at moffremic@gmail.com and await a response before starting a merit badge.  Please remember to cc a parent in the email. Mr. Moffre will then provide you with a list of counselors to call.  You should then call the MB Counselor (with a parent) and introduce yourself. Please follow this script.
Mr. Moffre will then assign the MB Counselor to you in Scoutbook.
