April Trip:
Here is the RSVP for our next trip the weekend of April 29th, 30th and May 1st.
For our next troop adventure we are going to travel closer to home and go back to Rotary and are going to stay at the Shindekoo site. Those of you who went last year will remember that this is the site where we bravely cooked hamburgers over the wood fire and successfully built a monkey bridge. The site has a ton of room for tenting and contains 4 leanto's. We should have warm weather that weekend as spring will be in full swing by then.
We have decided to open up the invitation to guests for the weekend. The best way to see what scouting is like is to come on a trip. So, in an effort to boost enrollment in the troop each scout is encouraged to invite someone from outside the troop to join us for the weekend.
Also, we would like to invite family and friends to a special barbeque lunch cooked by the scouts on Saturday April 30th. Please bring the whole family, grandmas, cousins, siblings, mom and dad. Everyone is welcome to come join us for a nice lunch , outside activities and a family hike to the cliffs.
May Trip:
Here is the RSVP for our next trip the weekend of May 13th, 14th and May 15th. (This is a date change from our original refrigerator sheet)
THANK YOU TO MR. GAGER FOR THE SUGGESTION. SCOUTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO INVITE A FRIEND WHO IS NOT IN THE TROOP. THE MORE THE MERRIER.
I have made arrangements for the May Rafting trip. Here is a breakdown of our current plan:
We will be staying at the:
Country Aire Campground in Shelburne Falls, MA
https://countryairecampground.com/directions/
**We will have water/electric tent sites near a bathroom**
On Saturday we will do white water rafting (nothing dangerous but expect to get wet) at:
Crabapplewhitewater in Charlemont MA ( about 10 minutes from camp)
Check them out at their site: www.crabapplewhitewater.com
***This activity is $70 per person and includes the raft ride, wetsuit rental and lunch***
* The sooner you signup for these trips and send in payment the easier it will be for the scouts to make plans.*
