The Legend of the Timberjack was originated in Canada by Lumberjacks that worked in the northern most reaches of the country.  They told tales of a great and mythological creature that would help prepare the timber for harvesting.  The Timberjacks were helpful and climbed to the top of trees to remove heavy limbs that could fall and hurt the lumberjacks in the woods.  The Timberjacks would also move and relocate all the creatures of the forest and help them find new homes.  The Timberjacks do a “Good Turn” each day…just like our Scouts.
Many people confuse the Timberjack with a lesser impressive creature the Donkey.  There are four main differences between a Donkey and a Timberjack.  First and foremost, Timberjacks are extremely intelligent and advanced.  Secondly, Timberjacks have larger ears to hear all the happenings of the forest.  Thirdly, Timberjacks are Orange, which helps them to blend into the fall colors and be nearly invisible to humans where they live high in the tree tops where the sun aids their invisibility to humans. Fourthly, they have “TWO” big teeth in front of their mouth like a beaver to help with clearing tree limbs. Although the Timberjack may resemble the Donkey; rest assured - Timberjacks are the superior creatures.
